The Union Library, a noteworthy structure in downtown Union, was built in 1912,
with a $5,000 matching fund from the Carnegie Foundation. It still serves as a
library for the residents of Union.
The library has a collection of several thousand books, as well as having access to
interlibrary loan with 70 other Eastern Oregon libraries through the
Pioneer Library System.
Conference rooms and internet access are also available. The library's first floor
Eaton Memorial Reading Room is the home of "U 'n I on Reading" Program.
Union's library maintains normal operating hours Monday through Friday with
evening hours once a week. For current hours of operation,
